Logging in to the EPR portal

You can access the EPR at any time and anywhere, all you need is a secure internet connection. The following short videos show you how to log in to the EPR portal.

You can configure various account settings in the EPR. For example, you can update your contact details, add notifications and configure an emergency access. The short video shows you how to manage these account settings and how to log out of the EPR. Please remember to log out of the EPR after each use so as to protect your health data.

Manage documents

With the EPR, all your health data is stored securely in one place. You can access your data at any time, upload your own documents or specify which health professionals can access which EPR documents. Manage access rights

The EPR lets you define which health professionals can access your files. You can grant access rights to health professionals or exclude them from accessing your EPR altogether. The following short videos explains how to manage access rights in your EPR.

EPR deputy

An EPR deputy is a person you trust and to whom you grant access to your EPR. This person then supports or manages the EPR on request.

Appoint an EPR deputy

To appoint an EPR deputy, please proceed as follows:

Fill in the form

Fill in the form together with the designated EPR deputy. You can find the brochure with this information here.

Send the completed form together with the enclosures (copies of identity documents) to:

Setting up an EPR deputy

Central Services will check your documents and set up an EPR deputy. 

You will find the EPR deputy set up in your EPR within one week.

Important information:

An EPR deputy does not necessarily have to have their own EPR but must have an EPR-enabled electronic identity (SwissID or TrustID).

Access log

A log entry is generated every time you or a health professional uses your EPR. This means you can track all processes at any time in the access log. Here you can see how you can view the access log.
