Set up the electronic patient record (EPR) conveniently and securely online: You can now do so for free also in the cantons of Basel-Land, Nidwalden and Schwyz – in addition to Basel-Stadt, Bern, Schaffhausen, Solothurn, Zug and Zurich.
Use the digital EPR self-onboarding service: Since August 2023, residents in the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Bern, Schaffhausen, Solothurn, Zug and Zurich have been able to set up their electronic patient records online at any time and anywhere for free. Since 17 January 2024, the service has also been available free of charge in the cantons of Basel-Land, Nidwalden and Schwyz, as they have entered into agreements with Post Sanela Health Ltd.
And there is good news for residents in other cantons because they, too, can now set up their EPR entirely digitally.
The only difference is that it costs 15 francs to open the account online in cantons without an agreement with Sanela Health Ltd.
