About the association of the Sanela reference community and its tasks:

The association of the Sanela reference community is a minority shareholder of Post Sanela Health Ltd and supports it by:

Collecting the interests and input of affiliated healthcare institutions and occupational groups
Representing the Sanela reference community members
Offering memberships to all organisations and health professionals throughout Switzerland and across cantonal borders
Processing admission applications

Purpose of the association of the Sanela reference community:

The association enables the creation and operation of a reference community in accordance with the Federal Act on the Electronic Patient Record (EPRA) and the recommendations of eHealth Suisse for managing electronic patient records as part of the national eHealth strategy.
The association issues mandates for developing and running a technical platform to prepare, manage and view data in connection with electronic patient records. The association does not run the platform itself.
The association can make other eHealth services available to health professionals and their associations and service providers as well as to private individuals and members of the public, or it can render such services itself. In doing so, it pays close attention to the interests of the general public and patients.
The association can establish or participate in a non-profit company (Post Sanela Health Ltd) alone or do so jointly with the cantons to carry out tasks that serve its purpose.
The association neither pursues a commercial interest nor seeks to make a profit.
